This Refrigerator Temperature Sensor senses the temperature inside the refrigerator and sends information to the electronic control so temperature stays regulated. This part is designed to be used with select refrigerator brands; check to see if your model number is compatible. To access this part, open the refrigerator door and locate the thermistor cover on the side wall of your appliance. Remove all shelves from the refrigerator and then remove the thermistor from the cover. Using side cutters, cut the thermistor wires at the base of the thermistor and discard the old part. You'll then pull the wires apart in the new thermistor and insert them into the old IDC splice connector. We strongly recommend that you hire a qualified technician to safely install this part. Replacing this part will require advanced mechanical training. Specialized tools, complex testing and appliance calibration may be required.
